| As the development of private education,it has a positive impact on many fields,such as society,economy,culture and education.The private education becomes an indispensable part of socialist modernization of education.However,the private education,especially the private colleges and universities,are faced with many challenges in the process of development.The private colleges and universities lose a lot of high-quality students every year,on the one hand,because at present,the public put low value on the private colleges and universities,on the other hand,because the public universities set up a lot of Independent Colleges.The existence of private colleges and universities faces more and more pressure.The development of students is one of the important factors affecting public evaluation of colleges and universities,as well as a standard for the public testing the quality of colleges and universities.Therefore,in order to obtain public recognition,private colleges and universities must pay attention to the development of their students.The achievement motivation is an impulse that an individual want to do a better job than the external or internal standards and to achieve success.The achievement motivation plays an important and positive role in the development of the individuals.There are large number of studies that shows that the individuals with high achievement motivation are more scientific and reasonable in time management.They can concentrate their energy on important goals,and have better endurance and resilience in face of setbacks.As a result,the individuals with high achievement motivation are more likely to succeed.Therefore,the private colleges and universities should pay attention to the development of their students and the students’ achievementmotivation to win the public recognition.There are also studies show that the individuals’ achievement motivation can be cultivated in an effective way.Culture plays the role of edification and education.The school culture has an imperceptible influence on the behavior and spirit of the school members.The school culture identity is an emotional attribution state that school members consciously accept school’s value and transform them into their own concepts.The related studies show that the more the school members agree with the school cultural the more likely they are to have a sense of belonging to their schools,share weal and woe with their schools and to conscientiously restrain their behavior in accordance with the values advocated by the school culture.That is to say,The more the school members identify with the school culture,a better role the school culture can play in education.Shandong Yingcai University advocates the school culture with the core of "striving for self-improvement and keeping pace with the times",forming a positive school spirit and style of study.Its students show positive and progressive states under the edification of the school culture.After graduation,the students are well received by the community.After 19 years,Shandong Yingcai University has developed into a leader in private colleges and universities,and is praised by all fields in the society.In order to explore the influence the cultural identity of private colleges students has on the achievement motivation,based on the literature analysis and questionnaire and using the achievement motivation scale compiled by Yu Anbang and yangGuoshu and the cultural identity scale compiled by Wang Xiangning,this paper distributes 310 questionnaires to the undergraduate students randomly in Shandong Yingcai University and 308 questionnaires are recovered,with a recovery rate of 99.4%,of which,301 are valid questionnaires,with an effective rate of 97.7%.Through the survey of undergraduate students of Shandong Yingcai University,the study analyzes the relationship between school culture identity and the achievement motivation,finds out whether it is feasible to improve private university students’ achievement motivation by the school culture construction,and puts forward some positive suggestions of school culture construction for private colleges and universities.The conclusions are as follows:1.Generally speaking,the school cultural identity of the undergraduate students in the private colleges and universities has a positive effect on their achievement motivation.2.The different dimensions of school cultural identity has a significant impact onthe each dimensions of achievement motivation.3.Students with different individual characteristics has a different score on the school cultural identity scale and the achievement motivation scale. |
