Study On The Regime Of Liang Shidu

Liang Shidu was originally a local military general of Shuofang County,but forced by the situation in the late Sui Dynasty and with the geographical advantage of Shuofang County,Liang Shidu allied themselves with the powerful East Turkic,and soon established the Liang State.Liang Shidu established their own political institutions to maintain the ruling of Liang State.In the late Sui Dynasty,Liang Shidu established a regime with the help of the Eastern Turkic army,they struggled with the Sui Dynasty,which accelerated destruction of the Sui Dynasty.Liang Shidu continued to expand the ruling territory,so that the development of its regime reached its peak.After the establishment of the Tang Dynasty,With help of the Khan named Shibi,Chuluo,Jieli from East Turkic,LiangShidu conflicted with the Tang Dynasty constantly to pillage land and population,which hindered the unification process of Tang Dynasty.In order to manipulate the situation of the Central Plains,the East Turkic vigorously pursued the policy of splittism,which is the significance of the existence of the Liang Shidu’s regime.The Tang Dynasty developed smoothly,and the pace of unification of the whole country was like splitting a bamboo.However,the strength of the East Turkic gradually declined,which made the regime of Liang Shidu unable to be well protected.The second year of Zhenguan,628 AD,Liang Shidu regime broke down,that exacerbated the decline of the Eastern Turkic khanate.After the perishing of the Eastern Turkic khanate,the capture of Eastern Turkic was settled in the place where the Liang Shidu had once ruled.This article takes the Liang Shidu regime as the source of historical data from the first year of righteousness(617 AC)to the second year of Zhenguan(628AD).Liang Shidu regime has existed for 12 years,and it maintained close contact with the Khan named Shibi,Chuluo,Jieli of theEast Turkic,and it has witness the vicissitudes of the East Turkic.The regime of Liang Shidu is the only regime in the north that has been allied with the East Turkic for the longest time.It is also the longest separatist regime in the end of the Sui Dynasty and the beginning of the Tang Dynasty.It had a profound influence on the Sui Dynasty,the Tang Dynasty and the East Turkic.Through the true restoration of the history of Liang Shidu regime,this paper hopes to enrich the culture and make up for the gaps.There are also many drawbacks in the article,hope all the professors can evaluate and correct my paper.
