Historical Geography Research Of Fujian Medicine In The Ming And Qing Dynasties(1368～1911)

Fujian as a relatively closed terrain unit has a variety of soil types,diverse topographical features,in the warm humid climate conditions of forest vegetation resources,suitable to produce Chinese herbal medicine planting.In the historical period,fujian is the authentic region of Chinese medicinal materials such as camphor,azawa,wumei,loquat leaf,cow knee,asparagus,and cuttlefish bone.Among them,camphor and jiazawa are well known both at home and abroad.Along with the historical natural environment change,combined with Fujian region in different periods of economic change,affecting production and planting conditions of Chinese medicinal materials,and the distribution of the Ming and Qing dynasties Fujian Chinese medicinal materials have a significant change.The business tradition of Fujian and the characteristics of "taking the sea as the field" have created more favorable conditions for the commercialization of medicinal materials in this province.During the Ming and Qing dynasties,with the development of the national medicine market,relying on geographical advantages,Fujian province,opened a number of both herbs and foreign trade channels,become an important transit point,Chinese herbal medicine of Chinese and foreign trade enlarged the scope of radiation medicine.In the "order" and "open trade" under the policy of alternates,Fujian merchants will be Chinese traditional medicine exported to overseas,and back to the foreign precious medicinal materials,not only enriched the kinds of Chinese and foreign trade in goods,and promote the medical communication,both at home and abroad to promote the foreign medical advancement of society.The epidemic situation of Fujian province in Ming and Qing dynasties stimulated the development of Chinese medicine to a certain extent,and different medicine habits were formed.At the same time,Fujian medical talents in Ming and Qing dynasties have accumulated rich experience in fighting against epidemic diseases and made contributions to health care in Fujian.This article tried to Ming and Qing dynasties Fujian Chinese herbal medicine on geographical distribution,Fujian medicinal materials trade characteristics,and its medicinal materials trade route to study,at the same time of the Ming and Qing dynasties Fujian social health construction were discussed.
