| As an important theory, religious pluralism provide many ways for the peace between religions. And in the cross-religious field,we always see the figure of mystics. As representatives of religious pluralism,John Hick,Don Cupitt, and Panikkar R represent different models of religious pluralism, such as realism pluralism、non-realism pluralism and non-dual pluralism, and they all analyze the mysticism.Focus on the definition of mysticism,we are going to talk about the relationship between the definition of mysticism and their religious pluralism.According to different attitudes towards ultimate reality and the theory of Prof.Wang Zhicheng, this article divides religious pluralism into realism pluralism、non-realism pluralism and non-dual pluralism. The concept of mysticism itself does not have an accurate definition.Integrating the opinions of several scholars, this article think that mysticism is a unity with God achieved in a mysterious intuition and contemplation.Hick interprets the experience as "experience as",then put forward the assumption of ultimate reality. He thinks that all major religions are different interpretations of the ultimate reality.Cupitt reinterpreted mysticism from a post-modern perspective,he inherits the tradition of mysticism which deconstructs the authority, and advocates the integration which religion should be combined into daily life.As a mystic,Panikkar showed us his mystical lifestyle and proposed his view of religious pluralism from his cosmotheandric intuition. We try to persuade their views about the religious pluralism are correspond to the different explanation of mysticism, and then, try to find a new way to understand their religious pluralism. |
