| The Compulsory Education English Curriculum Standard requires that the preparation of English textbooks should reflect the principle of gradual and orderly progress,select language materials that are conducive to the long-term development of students and lifelong learning,and focus on strengthening links with other disciplines.It is obvious that the interdisciplinary features of teaching materials have great significance to the overall development of students.But so far,interdisciplinary textbook analysis mainly stays in high school and university,and there is very little research on junior high school.To this end,this thesis takes the junior high school English textbook of the People’s Education Publishing House as the research object,and conducts interdisciplinary analysis of junior middle school English textbooks through literature method,quantitative analysis method and qualitative analysis method.The analysis of English textbooks covered in this paper defines interdisciplinary as:establishing a connection beyond one or more disciplines centered on the English subject.Cross-infiltrate the subject knowledge and broaden the horizons of different disciplines,so that the knowledge of multiple disciplines can be consolidated,developed and innovated.This paper mainly uses interdisciplinary analysis of interpersonal English textbooks from the interdisciplinary perspective through the combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis,including the two dimensions of the whole and the stratification,and the interdisciplinary three aspects of the theme,text and exercises.analysis.Through statistics,analysis and comparison results,it shows that the junior high school English textbooks of the PEP are the highest,the coverage rate of the problem subjects(85.7%)is the highest;the subject categories are the same,but there is a lack of agricultural science categories;the discipline distribution is poor,the subject preference to the humanities and social sciences.In terms of subject diversity,both texts and exercises are strong.From the perspective of stratification,the coverage rate of the seventh-grade subject subjects(37.5%)is relatively low,and thediversity of text subjects is relatively weak.The eighth-grade text coverage(59%)is relatively low,the subject matter is relatively poorly balanced,and the discipline setting between text and exercises is not consistent.The coverage rate of the ninth-grade exercises(15.4%)is relatively low,and the discipline balance of texts and exercises is relatively poor.Based on the interdisciplinary weakness of PEP edition English text book,the author puts forward relevant suggestions from five aspects: subject interdisciplinary coverage,subject categories,discipline balance,discipline diversity and discipline consistency.First,improve the interdisciplinary coverage of seventh-grade unit theme,eighth-grade exercises,and ninth grade text.Second,increase in the agricultural science category,with particular emphasis on broadening the setting of the grade nine subject category.Third,focus on the discipline balance between natural sciences and humanities and social sciences.Especially,focus on coordinating the proportion of the grade eight text and exercises in the two aspects.Fourth,enrich the disciplinary diversity of the grade seven text and the grade eight exercises.Fifth,strengthen the consistency of textbook disciplines,and focus on adjusting the inconsistencies between the grade eight exercises and the text disciplines.It is hoped that this analysis will provide a reference for interdisciplinary adjustment of the PEP edition junior English text book. |
