| Contemporary Russian Literature is a multi-dimensional heterogeneous space,whose features are versatility and complexity.Popular literature keenly grasped the needs of most readers in society to liberate their mind,relax their minds and bodies,in that way gradually developed into an indispensable part of the Russian literary market.Popular literature are very diverse in form,such as detective novels,science fiction,love stories,horror stories and so on.From its representatives Boris Akunin is undoubtedly the most eye-catching one.His literary works are characterized by stereotypes and conservatism,moreover,the "Akunin phenomenon" also reflects the success of the commercialization of Akunin’s literature.Popular literature has been criticized by elite literature for a long time being,it was described as meaningless reading.In domestic and foreign research filed,researchers pay little attention on popular literature,research monographs,related to the specific Russian popular works did not yet appeared,although numbers of Russian popular works have been translated and published.That is why we chose Akunin’s detective novel "FM" as an important typical popular literature,put it into the background of popular literature to explore the creative characteristics of Akunin.Our research not only systematically clarifies the development history and main features of popular literature,but also analyzes the style of popular literary,represented by Akunin.Akunin’s significance to the Russian popular literature school and the ambiguity of domestic academic research on his works make our research practical and theoretical.The theoretical significance of our research mainly reflects in:firstly,enriching the research results of Akunin and Russian popular literature;secondly,exploring the literary creation characteristics of the writer Akunin,expanding the domestic scholars from the theoretical level;thirdly,understanding of Russian popular literature and the process of contemporary Russian literature.The practical significance of our research mainly reflects in:on the one hand,the research results can be used in the classroom teaching practice of contemporary Russian literature;on the other hand,deepen the understanding of Chinese readers on the characteristics of Russian popular literature and Akunin.The innovation of this thesis lies in the research of the writer Akunin’s detective novel"FM" in the background of popular literature.In China,there are lots of review articles,which dedicated to Russian popular literature,but specific popular literature works are lack of research.Therefore,our research attempts to make a detailed reading of Akunin’s work"FM",in the mean while combined the development background and creative characteristics of Russian popular literature,so that we can conduct a more comprehensive discussion of Akunin’s creative features.The dissertation consists of an introduction,four chapters,conclusions and the list of main references.The first chapter aims to clarify the literary genre-the concept of Russian popular literature.This chapter begins with the development of Russian popular literature,points out its main genre categories and the creative characteristics of popular literature."Akunin phenomenon" appears in the historical background thanks to the development of popular literature.In the second chapter,our attention is drawn to the characteristics of popular literature creation in "FM"-the literary stereotype.This chapter starts from Akunin’s setting of plots,characters and themes,ends by discussing the literary stereotypes,embodied by Akunin.The third chapter aims to explain the conservative feature in "FM".The conservative feature is one of the creative characteristics of popular literature,the same to its representative Akunin.In this chapter,the conservative feature is to be discussed from two dimensions,the low artistic value of the novel and the accurate market positioning.The last Chapter is devoted to the rhetorical features of Akunin in "FM".The writer used lots of visual languages,quoted numbers of foreign words,and set up a word game for each chapter’s title,using the combination of letters "F" and "M" to create the mysterious features of the work.In conclusion we will summarize the results of the study. |
