Textbooks are an important part of teaching activities,and the construction of textbooks is an important basis for the cause of international communication of Chinese.With the emergence of the world Chinese fever and the prominence of the internationalization of Chinese learning,the compilation and research of the existing Chinese textbooks began to lag behind the pace of internationalization of Chinese teaching.One of the issues that the international Chinese teaching circle attaches great importance to is how to compile high-quality nationalized Chinese textbooks that meet the needs of teaching objects.This paper examines and analyses the selection and arrangement of grammar items in two sets of elementary Chinese textbooks,Global Chinese and Integrated Chinese,which are widely used in the United States.As for the choice of grammatical items,Chinese proficiency standard and grammatical Grade Outline are selected as the criterion for evaluating grammar items in textbooks.This paper makes an analysis and summary of the total number of textbook items,grammar items in each volume and each lesson,grammar items selection of grade A,B,C and super-syllabus grammar items in Global Chinese and Integrated Chinese.In terms of the arrangement of grammar items,combining the viewpoints of four grammarians,Lv Wenhua,Yang Defeng,Lu Fubo and Yang Jizhou,on the arrangement of grammar items in elementary Chinese textbooks,the distribution and arrangement of grammar items in grade A and B,systematic grammar items in the two sets of textbooks are analyzedand summarized.Finally,This paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the selection and arrangement of grammar items in the two sets of textbooks,providing reference for the users of the textbooks and for the selection and arrangement of grammar items in the nationalized Chinese textbooks.
