A Music Creation Research Of Ye Xiaogang's Symphony NO.2 The Great Wall

Ye Xiaogang,who is a Chinese composer,has an exquisite creative technique,and his creative field involves all aspects of genre.Also,he is one of the leaders in modern Chinese music creation.This research takes the symphony NO.2 The Great Wall which from Ye Xiaogang as an object of study.According to the spiritual and cultural connotation and the creative techniques of this symphony explores how Ye Xiaogang uses modern composition techniques to create a new kind of symphony with modern significance,to develop and expand Chinese traditional culture and to tell the world a Chinese story.This article is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is divided into two sections,which summarizes the composer's creation of his life and the creative background information about the symphony NO.2 The Great Wall respectively.From the second chapter to the sixth chapter,the author makes an in-depth study on the creative techniques of the symphony NO.2 The Great Wall from the aspects of structure and structure force,melody tone,harmony,polyphony,rhythm,beat,and orchestration.The final analysis shows that the creation of the symphony NO.2 The Great Wall presents the collision and integration of history with the present,the East and the West,the musical form and the spiritual connotation.Ye Xiaogang interprets his comprehension of the Great Wall and the contemporary Chinese music in his own way,and he tells a story of China to the world vividly.I hope this study can provide positive and effective reference of Mr.Ye Xiaogang's music creation and the blending of Chinese and Western culture in Chinesecontemporary music creation.
