Creative Application Research Of Female Image Symbols In Female Painting

In her 1949 book,Second Sex,the French existentialist Simone Beauvoir argues that in the patriarchal world,women are the second gender and are excluded from the male “other”.Belonging to men,women are just vassals.Until the development of the feminist movement in the 1970 s,with the constant awakening of women's self-awareness,women,a group of female artists known as “second sex”,tried to resist and establish their own right to speak.The differences in paintings due to gender differences are also receiving more and more attention from critics,mainly in the creative application of female image symbols in female painting.Based on the definition of semiotics,this thesis establishes the cultural significance of the creative application of female image symbols in female painting through the semiotic theory of Cassirer,Susan Lange and Roland Barthes.Then,through the analysis of the female image symbols in female paintings,the female artists' idiomatic patterns of female image symbols are summarized.For example,female artists' fascination with flowers means women's metaphors for sexual organs and the body.It is then acknowledged that female painting has its own limitations in the application of female image symbols.Postmodern female artists use the symbolization of the body and the transmission of female sensibility to resist the image of the "other" of the female image in art,and reshape the value of modern women in the history of art,but often tend to be limited to female thinking.Slip to the new essentialism.Contemporary female artists try to break the inherent way of thinking of women,pay more attention to their inner feelings and expressions,use their unique sensitivity,and have unique creativity in the artistic language of creation,that is,to exert the unique charm of women.Wisdom is not just about thinking about women.The creative application of the female image symbol in the history of art has made me,as a female creator,have a clearer understanding of the female image symbols in her own painting creation,and more accurately grasp the metaphor of female image symbols.
