| The former Soviet Union’s sinologists have made considerable achievements in the study and translation of modern Chinese literature,they paid special attention Lu Xun,Guo Moruo,and Cao Yu,they translated contemporary literature of Wang Meng,Mo Yan,Feng Jicai,Jia Pingwa,Su Tong,Yu Hua and others.The more national it is,the more global it is.An influential writer,although dedicated to the description of his native world,will eventually be understood and recognized worldwide.Mo Yan is such a writer.Mo Yan has a lot of masterpieces such as "Sandalwood death",“Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out”,and "Frog".Translator I.A.Yegorof and others focus on the translation and introduction of works such as "The Republic of Wine","Big Breast and Wide Hips" and "Red Sorghum".Mo Yan inherited the characteristics of three genres of "scar literature","reflective literature" and "root-seeking literature" in his own literary creation,and the third has the greatest impact on the writer.The magical realism in Latin America has had a special influence on the "root-seeking literature writers".Mo Yan’s main creation techniques absorb the grotesque method of magic realism and literary skills of writers such as Faulkner.He created a complex life scene in his work making use of exaggeration,deformation,and grotesque imagination,and finally gave birth to a new form of absurdity in the literature related to the local area.In "Big Breast and Wide Hips",the Russian readers saw a shadow of their past country,a similar historical fond and features of the times,as well as abundant knowledge about China;The series of great female images with self-sacrificing dedication in Russian works also made their readers happy to accept Shangguan Lu,a distinctive and typical mother.The content of the "The Republic of Wine" is universal.In this book Mo Yan is highly concerned with moral issues,describing the encounters of Ding Gou’er,he criticizes the corruption of officialdom and shows people’s fascination with alcohol and the variation of "wine",which makes the readers yearn for the simple and nice world.This is not only a social problem in China but also in Russia.This is a remarkable satire with multiple perspectives and symbolic meanings.It left the Russian readers an impression of chaotic and diverse.Yegorof and others believe that the creation style of Mo Yan is not also influenced by Márquez and Faulkner,but also by Russian literature of Sholokhov,Gorky and Ostrovsky & others.The suffering and the theme of devout worship in Mo Yan′s works have similarities with Russian writer Rasputin.In the context of the collision of world literature and the transformation of Chinese classical literature,Mo Yan represents an interesting and developing literature.The reading and evaluation in Russia enriched people’s acquaintance and understanding of Mo Yan’s works,and we also hope that there be more and more Russian researchers in this field. |
