Research On The Relationship Between Form And Meaning In Graphic Design From The Perspective Of Semiotics

As a medium for people to know things,semiotics has the function of transmitting information.The rapid development of social economy leads to the improvement of mass consumption level,and tourism is also widely concerned,and becomes a symbol perception activity.Tourists' tour process of scenic spots is also the process of interpretation and construction of tourist landscape symbols.Tourist map is a bridge of communication between scenic spot and tourists.Therefore,the design of tourist map needs to be scientific and reasonable.How to make tourists in different cultural backgrounds can quickly obtain information on the tourist map,the symbolic design of tourist map graphics is its effective way of expression.To explore the relationship between symbol form and meaning,to deepen the understanding of the connotation and extension of graphic symbols,and to improve graphic symbolic design has become a problem worthy of deep consideration in current tourism map design.The graphic design of the tourist map of ulanqab city refers to the construction of tourism symbols with urban characteristics in a specific environment by using the principles of semiotics,so as to solve many problems in the symbol transmission and expression of tourists.This paper firstly summarizes and analyzes the research status and achievements of the application of semiotics in tourism map design,and proposes the dialectical relationship between symbol presentation and meaning expression.Second,such as questionnaire survey,field investigation,literature methods on the tourist map of ulanchap investigation and analysis,and through the actual survey data and data analysis,according to the principle ofthe application of semiotics,according to the characteristics of the local culture of ulanchap extract has the ulanchap city image visual symbols,on this basis,further puts forward the design principle and the style of the tourist map of ulanchap positioning;Finally,by applying the semiotic principles of morris,namely semantics,pragmatics and language construction,the general principles and design methods of "isomorphism of form and meaning" of the tourist map graphics of ulanqab city are summarized,and the symbol system and design concept are finally formed,and the design ideas of the tourist map of ulanqab city and the composition and expression of visual language are put forward.This paper attempts to study and explore the symbolic construction of tourist map graphics,so as to provide certain reference and reference for the design of characteristic tourist map,and play a positive role in the cultural inheritance,protection and further development of the city.
