Spatial Research On Rural Realistic Theme Films Over The Past Ten Years(2005-2018)

The rural reality film of the past decade has focused on spatial expression,which has profoundly pondered the relationship between the city and the country.In spatial image representation,the directors accurately understood the essence of documentaryism and paid attention to the details,with which the film created a real sense of space to reveal many social realities,expanded the scope of the underlying narrative objects and researched changes in urban-rural relations.The film also discussed influence on rural society of modernity,regionality and nationality and the individual identity anxiety.These films have profound humanistic feelings and they have contributed to the development of Chinese-language films.The thesis is divided into five parts.The introduction combs the relevant research results,defining the scope of the rural realistic film,and presents the theoretical perspective and significance of the subject.The first chapter briefly describes the development of rural reality film in the past 30 years of the reform and opening,and the author gives an overview of the rural reality film over the past ten years,and believes that it has more diversified methods for the description of the underclass in the way of choosing the upper-biased marginal group,using the life case to see the trend of the times and integrate the creators’ to consider the modernity,regionality and nationality.The second chapter is the spatial division of rural reality film over the past ten years.The narrative space in the film is divided into two categories: “village space” and “urban space”.The rural space is considered to be realistic and allegorical,while the urban space has the separation and loss,and this thesis subdivides and generalizes each spatial image feature.The third chapter is based on the discussion of film ontology,combining screen space and film space to summarize its spatial characteristics.It is believed that the rural real theme films in the past ten years pay attention to innovate in space modeling and spatial structure,highlighting the spatial style.The fourth chapter discusses the spatial aesthetic style and connotation of nearly ten years of rural reality movies.The author believes that the film conveys the spiritual core of documentary doctrine in a variety of aesthetic forms,and depicts more authentic and rich urban-rural relations in the film.The film reflects the author’s thinking on the reality and future destiny of Chinese countryside.
