In July 1933,Teh Wang launched the Mongolian Autonomy Movement at Bailing Temple,which attracted great attention from the national government and community.The attention of the Chinese people to the Inner Mongolia region and the Mongolian nationality was unprecedentedly upsurge.On the one hand,along with the progress of the autonomous movement,the newspaper published a large number of news in time to explain the cause and progress of the matter;on the other hand,based on the Japanese aggression,they revolved around the cause of the Autonomy Movement,national autonomy,frontier policy,the situation of Mongolian nationality and other major issues to discuss and introduced these issues to the public.In the meantime,major newspapers published many editorial and commentary articles,and some scholars and intellectuals also wrote books.They stand in the position of the country and the Chinese nation,reflected the voice of the people,reflected on the government's policies,proposed suggestions to the government to solve problems,and introduced the situation of Mongolian society to the people.In these articles and works,many opinions were not only fair and constructive,but also full of sense of crisis and patriotism.Of course,due to the limitations of historical conditions and the influence of the situation at the time,some views had prejudice and mistakes.The views of these articles and works basically reflected the understanding of the Mongolian Autonomy Movement and Mongolian social conditions in the mid-1930 s.From the perspective of positive energy,these understandings had a certain role for the government to make correct decisions,helped the people to understand the state of Mongolian society,awaken the national security awareness of the frontiers,and even promoted the cohesion of the Chinese community awareness.
