| As a highly social species,it is of great significance for humans to comprehend and interpret others’ emotions,intentions,and actions.Nonverbal cues,such as facial expressions,bodily posture and gesticulation,and vocal prosody constitute a rich source of social signals.The ability to decode these signals contributes to successful social interactions.Possess the ability to get a sense of what they want to say and see,the rapid and accurate identification of emotions is conducive to our effective participation in social activities,and give the appropriate stimulus.The lack of this ability is not conducive to individual social development.Emotion recognition is the key technology in the field of human-computer interaction and the key point for all countries in the world to make breakthroughs in artificial intelligence.Want to achieve artificial intelligence will inevitably require a computer and the robot has a stronger emotion recognition,emotion modeling and emotional expression.The information source of human emotion when emotion recognition is more interested in facial expression or body expressions,it is the focus of this research study.This study uses event-related potential technology,the use of emotion recognition research paradigm.In the first experiment,when the facial expression and the body expression appear independently,which emotion carrier is easier to be identified by the individual and the characteristics of the different stages of the individual neurophysiological activity time course.In the second experiment,when the face and the body are presented at the same time,which emotion carrier is easier to be identified by the individual and the characteristics of the different stages of the individual neurophysiological activity time course.The first experimental behavioral experiment found that individuals face recognition of facial expressions better than body expressions,manifested in the face expression recognition rate is higher than the body expression.The results of ERP experiment showed that(1)in the early stage of ERP,P100 amplitude induced by body fear expression was larger than that of facial expression.Compared to happy,sad and neutral expression,fear expression induced P100 amplitude larger.(2)In the middle stage of ERP,facial expression has processing advantages compared with body expressions,and N170 and P200 induced by facial expression have a greater amplitude.Compared to happy,sad and neutral expression,fear expression induced N170 and P200 amplitude greater.(3)In the later phase of ERP,individuals developed more facial expressions than body expressions,manifested in inducing larger LPP amplitudes.Compared to happy,sad and neutral expression,fear expression induced LPP amplitude greater.The second experimental behavioral experiment found that individuals have different emotions on the face than body expressions,which is reflected in the fact that the accuracy of facial expression recognition is higher than that of body expressions and the reaction time is shorter.ERP experimental results(1)in the early stage of ERP,no carrier effect was observed(2)In the mid-ERP stage,compared to the face expression,the body expression has processing advantages,manifested in the emotional expression of body emotions.(3)In the later stages of ERP,individuals developed facial expressions more than body expressions,manifested in inducing larger LPP amplitudes.Therefore,this study draws the following conclusion:(1)When individuals view the emotional information transmitted by different carriers(faces / bodies),there are different carrier effects as the time progresses.Specifically,regardless of whether facial expressions are presented with body expressions,body expressions are better identified in the early stages of ERP,ie,the amplitude of P100 induced by body expressions is greater;in the middle and late ERPs,face emotions are better identified,that is,facial expressions ERP related components(N170,LPP)have a larger peak.(2)When individuals view the emotional information transmitted by different carriers,there is a "negative bias".Individuals are more sensitive to threat stimuli,such as fear,but they do not have rapid and automatic processing of sad emotions.(3)From the characteristics of neurophysiological time course It can be inferred that the human brain may process facial expressions and body expressions in similar ways.(4)It can be deduced from the characteristics of neurophysiological time course that the processing of body expressions is also applicable to the "three stages of facial expression processing" proposed by Luo Yuejia. |
