Employee Study Of Shanghai Supporting Xuchang Tobacco Factory From 1965 To 1967

Population migration is a common phenomenon in society.In addition to the spontaneous movement caused by regional differences,there are also politically-oriented migrations,such as factory migration,support for marginal areas,and development of wasteland.This phenomenon was extremely common in China from 1950 to 1970,and the relocation from large cities to rural areas and the interior of the country continued to occur.However,in the context of this policy-led migration,the process of its actual operation and resettlement,as well as the impact on the people themselves and the move-in and move-out areas,there is still a lack of systematic review and research in the academic circles.This paper takes the support of workers and family members of Shanghai Tobacco Machinery Factory to Xuchang Tobacco and Machinery Factory in 1966 as the research object,and analyzes the relationship between policy guidance and actual implementation in population migration.On the one hand,government policies are not the only motivation for migration.Apart from the preferential treatment stipulated,the economic situation of the society at that time,the trend of public opinion and the choice of the people’s own circumstances were all indispensable influential factors,which together constituted the characteristics of the times of this kind of population migration.On the other hand,despite the encouragement and pressure of the policy,both the moving and the moving parties are facing many difficulties.Such as immigrants are not adapt to the local living and working conditions,the fierce conflict caused by the disputes of rights and interests,which makes Shanghai workers and their families leave Xuchang twice in a year.This fact reflects the plight of these immigrants to integrate into local life.In essence,in the tension structure of institutional design and operation,through the game of state,local and individual,the individual’s personal destiny and choices are compiled into the torrent of history,and also reflect at by the various explorations and practice when the two factories and Superior department are responding to the activities in supporting for the interior activity and it results in the trouble.
