| With the deepening of the new curriculum reform concept,more and more teachers are aware of the importance of curriculum resources in curriculum teaching.The new English curriculum standard clearly requires teachers to develop curriculum resources effectively through various ways.At the same time,the characteristics of English curriculum in primary schools also determine the intrinsic demand of teachers and students for curriculum resources development.In the process of primary school English teaching,enriching interesting curriculum resources can not only improve the quality of teachers’ teaching,but also enable students to integrate into it to achieve curriculum objectives.It can be seen that the effective development and utilization of primary school curriculum resources is very important for primary school English teachers’ English teaching and students’ learning.Taking Wanjia Primary School in Dongsheng District of Ordos City as an example,this paper analyses the principles and development of English curriculum resources in primary schools by means of questionnaires and field visits.At the same time,according to the statistical results of the questionnaire,this paper analyses the shortcomings of the school in the development of English teaching resources in primary schools,and puts forward the corresponding improvement strategies in view of the shortcomings.The purpose of this study is to provide theoretical help for the effective development of English teaching resources in other similar primary schools.The principle of developing curriculum resources in Wanjia Primary School of Dongsheng District is to develop curriculum resources with local characteristics and diversification,according to local actual conditions and students’ psychological characteristics.In the development of English curriculum resources,there are some problems in the school,such as the serious shortage of teachers’ resources,the inadequate ability of teachers’ curriculum resources development and the insufficient motivation of students’ learning.In view of the above problems,this paper puts forward strategies for curriculum development of Wanjia primary school in Dongsheng district.It is pointed out that we should combine the teaching courses of primary and junior middle schools,combine classroom learning content with after-class exercises,and develop various forms of textbook resources according to the actual situation in compiling English textbooks in our country.Teachers should pay attention to the improvement of their comprehensive quality and enhance their cognitive ability in the development of curriculum resources.In addition,when exploiting English curriculum resources in primary schools,it is necessary to deeply recognize that students are the main body of learning and carry out the concept of life and activity into the development of curriculum resources from the perspective of children’s psychological and cognitive characteristics.The Internet has abundant English curriculum resources.Using the Internet to develop new curriculum resources in primary school English teaching can enhance students’ interest in learning English curriculum and improve their listening,speaking,reading and writing abilities. |
