Oral Chinese class is constitutive of teaching Chinese as a foreign language significantly,which comprises the situational teaching method and oral Chinese class primely,with the enhancement of the student’s Chinese communicative ability as well as the increase of teaching relish.The author once practiced in Shanghai University of Political Science and Law for nearly half a year,and applied the teaching method as much as possible in class,and finally got good teaching results.This thesis is based on the situational teaching method and aims at choosing the intermediate students at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law as the research subject investigated,analyzing the features of the situational teaching method and the possibility of implement,and designing the teaching cases from different aspects,which finally comes to a conclusion that the situational teaching method is suggested to apply to the intermediate spoken Chinese teaching.This paper is divided into six parts.The first chapter is the introduction,which mainly explains the reason and significance of the topic,and briefly introduces the research subjects and research methods.The second chapter is about the research of situational teaching method,ranging from the origin and development of situational teaching method and its application in second language teaching to the brief analysis of its concept.The third chapter analyzes the current situation of the teaching subjects,including the curriculum setting and textbook characteristics of the intermediate class.Based on this,combining with the characteristics of the students in the intermediate class,this chapter introduces the feasibility of employing the situational teaching method in the intermediate class.The fourth chapter is the main part of the thesis.On the one hand,the corresponding teaching cases are designed from the four aspects: visual object pictures,music,language and performance situation.Besides,the specific application of situational teaching method in the classroom is dissected.On the other hand,students’ subjective evaluation of situationalteaching is understood through interviews and questionnaires.In addition,the final teaching effect is analyzed through daily classroom observation and final score.The fifth chapter is the reflection and suggestion of situational teaching method.After the verification of teaching practice,it mainly reflects on successful cases and failure cases,and throw outs some suggestions about the teachers and teaching environment.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.This paper reviews the whole text and summarizes the advantages of situational teaching method in intermediate oral Chinese teaching.
