Lu Ling's "uniqueness" is a particular perspective to previous studies,he did not follow the trend of popularization of literature and art in the 1940 s,but insisted on the attitude of enlightening life with literature.Comparing with the past,Lu Ling's creative characteristics are explained only by "Individuality" or "Sociality",this paper combines the internal study of text with the external study of culture.It analyses Lu Ling's literature with Benjamin's "Allegory" theory and Jameson's "National Allegory" theory.Demonstrating Lu's creative characteristics from the perspectives of "Allegory","Nationality" and "unity of subject and objectivity".Lu Ling's literary style was different from his time.Not retelling stories,but indulging in portraying the soul,his language is long and obscure,characters are dark.It seems misfits under the trend of literature and art popularization,but this particular style of Lu Ling's creation,is a kind of “Allegory”.The fragmentation with plot and language,the melancholy of literary style,the polysemy of text understanding and the defamiliarization expression constitutes the “Allegory” feature of Lu Ling's text.The value of Lu Ling fiction is it reveal the call of national revolution,not only show the complex allegory.He inherited Lu Xun's thought of criticizing national character when the tide of enlightenment faded away in the 1940 s.Reflections on the national salvation in the 1940 s,it doomed his literary essence to be "Sociality".In addition,the emphasis on folklore and dialect in the text highlights the connotation of "Nationality".Finally,the reason why Lu Ling's works can embody the value of the combination of "Allegory" and "Nationality" lies in the "subjectively spiritual struggle" theory.In Luling's fictions,both the communication of Multiple voices,characters and environment,national self and private self,reality and experience constitute the subjectively spiritual struggle: unity of subject and objectivity.
