| “Jiu” and “Cai” are a group of modern Chinese adverbs with relative meaning and similar usage.During my internship in Burma,I found many errors of “Jiu” and “Cai” in students’ compositions.So far,no one has studied Burmese students’ acquisition of the modern Chinese adverbs “Jiu”and “Cai”.Therefore,the errors study on Burmese students’ learning the modern Chinese adverbs “Jiu” and “Cai” has both theoretical and practical significance for the study of Chinese ontology and the study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.In this thesis,we use the method of questionnaire survey and errors analysis to quantify the problem on Burmese students learning modern Chinese adverbs“Jiu” and “Cai”,classify the types of errors,make an analysis on the causes of errors,Finally,this paper puts forward some teaching suggestions on Burmese students’ learning the modern Chinese adverbs “Jiu” and “Cai”.The main conclusions are:.Compared with the modern Chinese adverbs “Cai”,Burmese students have more errors on the modern Chinese adverb “Jiu”,and the same meaning of “Jiu” and “Cai” varies greatly in different contexts..Modern Chinese adverbs “Jiu” and “Cai” tone meaning,related meaning,the number of the usage and some uncommon meanings,such as the meaning of “always” of “Jiu”,the meaning of limit someone or something of “Jiu”,are the main aspects which affects Burmese students’ learning Chinese adverbs “Jiu” and “Cai”..Burmese students are easy to confuse “Jiu” with the verb “yes” when learning the modern Chinese adverb “Jiu”,it is mainly reflected in the fact that students tend to add the adverb “Jiu” mistakenly,combine the adverb “Jiu” and “yes”.In the end,this thesis puts forward to reduce the errors caused by Burmese students’ using of “Jiu” and “Cai” from the perspectives of teaching subject and learning subject,such as strengthing the teaching of “Jiu” and “Cai” on expressing the meaning of tone and relevance,,improving the usage rate of Chinese dictionaries. |
