Study On The Historical Thought Of Unknown’s 〈Altan Tob?i〉

The full name of〈Altan Tob?i〉is〈Qad—un ündü sünquriyangyui alan tob?i〉.The author of this book is unknown.Although there is no exact time when the book was written,the book is generally considered to be written at the beginning of the17 th century but not earlier than the 1720 s.〈Altan Tob?i〉 is another epoch-making chronicle of Mongolia since the 〈Mongol—un Niquca Tob?iyan〉 came out.It is regarded as a historical work serving as a link between the past and future of Mongolian historiography traditions.〈Altan Tob?i〉,together with 〈Mongol—un Niquca Tob?iyan 〉 and 〈 Erdeni-yin Tob?i 〉,are called three major historical documents of Mongolian.This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the Mongolian society in the early 17 th century produced by the 〈 Altan Tob?i 〉,and then systematically explores the historical content of the 〈Altan Tob?i〉,especially for the basic content recorded based on the author’s historical thought and the appeal of the Mongolian nationality behind these contents.Influenced by the historical background of the Mongolian tribe’s endless rebellion and guilty separatism in the past two centuries and the ruling position in the ideology field of Tibetan Buddhism’s Sakya in Mongolia,the historical thought of 〈Altan Tob?i〉 are very ample.Its historical thought are embodied in the following aspects: the introduction of the theory of "the same origin of the Indians,Tibetans and Mongols";the inheritance of the legitimacy argument of the "golden family";the record of historical truth,historical fiction and legend,etc.The unknown’s〈Altan Tob?i〉,so to speak,is an important historical book that cannot be ignored in the study of political and ideological from the end of the 14 th century to the beginning of the 17 th century.Moreover,its historiography value and historical value have played important roles in the inheritance and development of Mongolian history.
