A Report On The E-C Translation Of Blockchain For And In Logistics:What To Adopt And Where To Start Under The Skopos Theory

The materials used in this translation research report are from the article “Blockchain for and in Logistics: what to adopt and where to start” published by the English academic journal Logistics in September 2018.It mainly tells how to select a suitable application of blockchain for the Logistics according to different needs to reduce costs.This article is a scientific paper,formal in style,clear in structure and concise in terms.In terms of theory,since scientific and technical papers are mainly used for academic communication and focus on the purpose of communication,the author chooses the functionalist Skopos Theory.In this report,the three principles of Skopos Theory: the principle of purpose,the principle of coherence and the principle of fidelity,are mainly followed,so the accurate transfer of meaning is emphasized.This report is divided into four parts.The first part is the background introduction,and it briefly tells the development status of blockchain at home and abroad,explains the significance of the application of blockchain technology in the logistics for improve efficiency and minimize cost,and also summarizes the original text.The second part is the translation process,focusing on the preparation,review after the translation process and three stages of translation.The preparation work focuses on the features of scientific paper,parallel texts and auxiliary resources,and introduces the development process of Skopos Theory as theoretical basis.The translation process part emphasizes the use of the translation strategies under Skopos Theory to guarantee the accuracy,fluency,and readability through the review after the translation.The third part is the key part of this report,focusing on the translation strategies.From the levels of vocabulary and syntax,this report analyzes the strategies used in translation with specific examples.The specific analysis of translation is done mainly from the two levels of words and syntax: the translation strategies used from the level of words include the conversion of words,the choice of word and the negation and the affirmation;the processing of passive sentences,the addition and deletion of sentence components,and the adjustment of word order.The fourth part is a conclusion,summarizing the problems and shortcomings of this report,so as to avoid them in future practice.
