| Finance is so significant that people cannot live without it.And financial news can transmit latest information to widen people’s horizon.That is why financial news translation is essential to sharing the financial knowledge,which can promote financial exchange at home and abroad.This report analyzes the source text---Financial Inclusion selected from The Economist.With an international perspective,Simon Long,the author of the source text,discusses about financial inclusion on mobile money,India Stack,fintech,financial service and credit rating both in developing countries and developed countries.Through translation practice,the author explores the translation methods and strategies of such texts to provide references for later researchers.There are three stages of the overall process: pre-translation preparation,the translation process and post-translation review.Under the guidance of Skopos theory of German Functionalist School,the author chooses appropriate translation strategies,including syntactic linearity,division,literal translation and free translation and so on.In Chapter Four,some cases are selected to discuss how to translate under the guidance of Skopos theory in terms of lexicon,syntax and textual levels.At last,to be a qualified translator on financial news text,he or she should have a good bilingual transformation ability and rich financial knowledge and learn about current affairs domestically and internationally in time. |
