The Art Of Story:An Analysis Of Graphic And Textural Narrative Of Picture Books

People are born to be eager for stories and this desire has been never gone away.Today in graphic and internet era,as the form which using both graphic and textural symbols to tell stories of art,picture books possess artistry and literariness at the same time,becoming more and more popular.It is a kind of books which has a long history.While being at an important evolution period in China,picture books are already widespread and continuing to mature in Europe and America,Japan and South Korea,even Taiwan.Times changing not only overturned the traditional media also promoted the forms and definition of picture books.Domestic original picture books are just started so far,lacking of publishing experience and theoretical direction while the creation standard and producing standard has been not fully developed,they are growing rapidly and facing the danger of descending to fast moving consumer goods at the same time.In this case,present studies about picture books are inevitably limited.This article mainly research the graphic and textural narrative theory,manifestation and structural strategy of today’s picture books through analyzing the developing trends,Discussing how to use pictures and texts these two kinds of story subjects to constitute the story expression,basing on these to practice personal picture books creation.
