Study On The "Man XP De" Structure In Modern Chinese

In recent years,with the development of network and communication of different areas,the structure "man XP de" gradually enters into mandarin system by the southern dialect,breaks through the geographical constraints and increases frequency of utilization.Presently,there are not too much researches on the structure "man XP de".On the basis of the analysis of a large number of corpus,this paper not only analyses syntactic,semantic and pragmatic features of the structure,but also discuss its creation motivation.In the structure "man XP de","man"is an absolute adverbs of degree,which means high degree.XP can be an adjective,verbal and nominal component."de" of the structure is not compulsory,it could be omitted in some situations.In addition,we analyse the meaning and subjective characteristics of the structure.In sentences,the structure’s mainly syntactic function are predicate,attributive,adverbial and complement.In pragmatics,this paper expounds the pragmatic function of the structure from five perspectives,which are evaluation function,pragmatic principle and focus sessions,sentence category selections,and stylistic features.Finally,it surveys the evolution of the structure "man XP de",and it formed in the early Qing dynasty.Its creation motivation are the grammaticalization of"man",the influence of national psychology and the influence of network transmission.
