Composition Analysis And Playing Style Study Of The First Ballade D-Flat Major By Franz Liszt

Franz Liszt was a legendary pianist and composer in Europe in 19 th century.Most of his piano works are characterized by his unique artistic style and distinct appealing.Ballade,in particular,is one of his creative works,which is the combination of music and literature,embodying the feature of dramatic music and poetic romance.He composed two ballades in the period of Weimar,also the period of “symphonic poem” he created.As a result,the two ballades both have the feature of “theme transformation” and “piano symphonization”.This article is supposed to make an analysis and study of his works “the First Ballade D-Flat Major” and focus on the piano playing style of his ballades and reproduce the profound emotion in piano playing.
