| There is an important means of connection between Chinese sentences,which is mainly the logical and grammatical relationship between clauses,commonly known as related words.Related words play an important role in the performance of the connection between the use of smooth and coherent semantic aspects.It is also an important factor in helping students to improve their Chinese learning and communication ability.This paper takes American students from the Chinese Language Flagship Program at Nanjing University as the objects of inquiry.It collects the spoken text material of the surveyed subjects through classroom recording,builds a corpus of spoken language,and selects related words in the spoken language corpus as the objects of investigation.On this basis,the author uses the analysis of errors and data statistics,as well as comparative analysis,in analyzing the frequency of use of related words,and describes the type and distribution of the errors.This paper analyzes and summarizes the causes of the errors made by American students in the advanced stage.Based on the contrastive analysis of English and Chinese,it proposes a number of targeted teaching suggestionsThis paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter covers the purpose and significance of this topic,a review of related literature,an explanation of the research objects and data,and research ideas and methods.The second part mainly analyzes statistics and data of the related words appearing in the spoken language corpus.According to the author’s analysis of the spoken language data of the foreign students,the author finds six types of related words that are frequently used,namely:transition,cause and effect,hypothesis,condition,progression,and juxtaposition.Therefore,this article will use these six types of related words as the main research object.The number of occurrences of these six related terms is 303,and the number of errors is 127.From high to low,the usage rate of these six related words is:transition relationship>cause and effect relationship>progression relationship>juxtaposition relationship>supposition relationship>condition relationship.The rate of errors is:cause and effect relationship>transition relationship>progression relationship>juxtaposition relationship>condition relationship>supposition relationship.Although the rate of the transition relationship and cause and effect relationship are high,the bias rate is also high,which should arouse the attention of teachers and students.The usage and bias rates of condition relationship and supposition relationship are both low,which is the difficulty for the foreign students.In addition,the author also counted the specific related words in the corpus and carried out analysis of relevant data and statistics.The author found that the use frequency of the grammar pattern "not only...but also”is highest.The third chapter analyzes American students in spoken discourse association bias,and the students in discourse association errors are classified according to the previous experience.These errors consist of four categories:the related words are mistaken,the related words are omitted,the related words are wrongly added,and the related words are wrongly ordered.Among them,the rate of bias of the related words which are mistaken and the related words which are wrongly added are the highest.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the causes of the errors in the use of related words in the foreign students’ oral discourse and summarizes the reasons from both subjective and objective aspects.The subjective aspects include avoidance strategy,negative transfer of mother tongue,and generalization of target language.The objective aspects include the complexity of Chinese related words,the lack of teaching,and the deficiency of teaching materials.On the basis of this,some suggestions are offered by the curriculum requirements of teachers,students and Chinese Flagship Program.The fifth chapter is a summary of the full text,which summarizes the research results of this paper and points out the innovative aspects as well as shortcomings。The author hopes this article research can promote the related words of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,help American students of Chinese Flagship Program of Nanjing University to learn related words better,break through the Chinese learning bottlenecks and improve the ability of oral discourse expression,also hopes to be able to provide Chinese learning of the students in other countries a little reference value. |
