The research object of this paper is the achievements and existing problems in the genealogy research and genealogy discipline construction in mainland China in the past 40 years.The dissertation consists of five chapters:The introduction part is the first chapter of this article,which indicates the research object and research method of this article.Explain the concept of "family genealogy",collect the definitions and aliases of related works on "family genealogy",identify the similarities and differences,select the more general and appropriate ones,and sort out the general development history and predecessors of genealogy research after modem normative academic research.The research achievements,discussed the deficiencies of previous studies,and pointed out the problems to be solved.Explain the motivation,purpose,scope,and method of the topic research.The second chapter discusses the academic stages of genealogy research in the past forty years.It will be based on the specific events or achievements of the family genealogy research leading the research direction and academic atmosphere in the forty years,and divided according to the academic trends and research characteristics of each stage.The generalogy study’s warm-up period(1978-1988),development period(1989-2000)and boom period(2001-2017)were reviewed to understand the general context of the research.The fourth chapter focuses on investigating the issues of exchange and cooperation with Hong Kong,Taiwan and overseas scholars in the study of genealogy in mainland China in the past 40 embarrassing position.Judging from the current research ideas,genealogy has never escaped the status of the vassal of other disciplines.Although China has a long tradition of family genealogy(acient genealogies),the number of clan genealogy documents is huge and its content is rich.However,in terms of its current genealogy discipline construction,most researchers use it as research materials for other disciplines.The all-encompassing content of this discipline is divided into other disciplines such as history,library science,genetics,sociology,and cultural anthropology.The nominal research scope of "Genealogy" is huge,but the actual research is limited to the collection,collation and cataloging of the genealogical materials.Second,the lack of theoretical construction of genealogy studies hinders the development of genealogy.The current genealogy research methods are relatively simple.In addition to traditional studies such as genealogy,genealogy history,and genealogical surveys,current genealogy researchers focus on the case study of genealogy of geographical surnames and interpret it on the surface of the text,lacking horizontal or vertical academic research.There are few research results in broadening academic horizons and in-depth discussions.There are even rare books on the construction and systematic discussion of genealogy science.Third,the network data of family tree is mixed.The digitization of genealogical literature is one of the trends in the development of genealogy research in recent years.Apart from facilitating the preservation of ancient texts,the dataization of genealogical literature has unparalleled advantages in the sharing and dissemination of resources,and resource retrieval gives research.The great conveuience of the readers improves the efficiency of document retrieval and saves a lot of energy and time.The digitization of family tree materials also shortens the research cycle and improves the efficiency of academic research work.In a sense,it extends the scholars’ Academic life;on the other hand,the dataization of genealogical literature will weaken the literature features and textual personalization features that cause genealogical materials in different layers,which is alsp a lack of rescarch information for rescarchers.Thinking about the problems and solutions to the system construction of genealogy disciplines,and developing issues such as the academic positioning,subject attribution,research ideas,and subject personnel training of genealogy disciplines,pondering and advising on issues such as system construction of genealogy disciplines to promote The development of family genealogy is continuous.
