Research And Innovative Application On Miao Ethnic Group Embroidery Art In Guizhou Shidong

Miao embroidery is a unique embroidery method in Miao embroidery,which requires not only elaborate embroidery techniques but also full spatial imagination.It is a mixture of colored silk that has been slurry into many small triangles.It is a combination of different colors and variations.It eventually presents the design with a cascade of visual effects like relief.As a traditional handicraft,Miao embroidery has unique characteristics of national art with its pattern and process,which is of great reference value for our modern clothing design research.Nowadays,under the influence of modern civilization and market economy,the thinking and lifestyle of Miao people have changed,and many young people have not mastered this manual skill.Barbola technology awaits rescue,inheritance and development.It is of great practical significance to protect the traditional culture of national generation.Based on fieldwork,this paper combines relevant research works.It firstly starts from the regional background of Miao embroidery in the Miao nationality,and explores the characteristics of Miao embroidery.It also selects and makes the process,basic folding method and nail line method from the making of the material.There is also the way of folding combination to analyze the technological characteristics of embroidery.At the same time,it has the theme of the embroidery pattern,the meaning of the design,the shape of the pattern and the color of the pattern to explore the decorative pattern.Finally,on the basis of the study of Miao embroidery pattern theory,this paper makes a practical exploration of the innovative application of Miao embroidery technology in clothing from five aspects: style,pattern,color,fabric and craft.
