The Tang Dynasty is the flourishing period of the development of textile art in the feudal era of our country and the mature period of the development of ancient costume patterns.The development of costume patterns in the Tang Dynasty upholds the concept of "persistence,inheritance,development and innovation",and on the basis of inheriting the excellent traditional costume patterns,it establishes a new expression method with strong characteristics of the times.This paper focuses on the application of Tang Dynasty costume pattern characteristics in oil painting figure costume,starting with its shape,color,composition,decoration and planarization characteristics,collects and extracts Tang Dynasty costume patterns,and integrates the author’s emotional and subjective treatment,so that patterns integrate new era characteristics and aesthetic tendencies,making them more varied and more oriental.At the same time,it clarifies the inheritance and creativeness of traditional art,and reveals the artistic connotation and value of Tang Dynasty costume pattern.
