Yu the is the sage of Chinese legends in ancient times.The legend of Yu has always been the focused by academic researchers that even formed “Yu the Great culturology”.Throughout the study of the legends of Yu,it mainly focused on his flood control,his marriage,his meeting with the seigneurs,his attacking Fangfeng and so on,but there is still much study space.The author thinks that Yu′s legends have many auspicious signals,which is not only contented by other legends of Yu also have their own system.They can independently constitute an auspicious signals legend,and it is the most valuable one,which is mainly embodied in the following three aspects.: Firstly,the abundant literal recordation.In the many legends of Yu,the written auspicious parts are most abundant:from the Pre-Qin to the Qing Dynasty,it was widely documented in the Confucian classics,history recordation,philosophical writings and miscellaneous works,which provides much materials to study.Secondly,variability.The recordation of the Yu′auspicious written legends is variable but also regular,the author hold it is the ideological trend of the times and the “Regional and Cultural Background” that have profound relationship with that variability.Thirdly,the uniqueness and systematicness.Although the legends of auspicious written signals got by Yu are closely related to the legend of his flood control,it cannot be regarded as a subsidiary of it.Its uniqueness is mainly manifested in two auspicious written signals centric systems--Hetu Luoshu and Taoism immortal stories.Fourthly,typicality.The legends of auspicious written signals got by Yu is the most recorded and changed among the numerous auspicious elements Yu,so it can be regarded as a typical one.Based on the above reasons,the author thinks that the legend of the auspicious written signals got by Yu the Great has enough research value and space.In the introduction,it is mainly to sort out the previous research results and find the research space on this basis.This paper is divided into three parts and five chapters,the first part is chapter one,this chapter is mainly to define the concept of auspicious signals and on this basis fatherlydefine the auspicious written signals,meanwhile,gave an outline of the legends of auspicious written signals got by Yu and clarify the research scope.The second part of the paper is from chapter one to the chapter four,which contents two parts:firstly,the author chooses the important material from arraigning text records about the signals from the Pre-qin to the Song Dynasty in chronological order.Secondly,on the basis of combing the text content,the author analyzes the legends of auspicious written signals got by Yu in each period to clarify the each characteristics of them,and finally sort out the evolution track of it.According to this train of thought,the author divides the evolution of the legend into three periods:the Pre-Qin and Han Dynasties,the Wei and Jin Dynasties and the Tang and Song Dynasties.In consideration of the author collected materials,the legends in the Ming and Qing dynasties are just simply sorted out by the researcher and the text materials in the those dynasties are too disordered to research in the paper.so in order to build a integrated paper structure the author will discuss those parts in other paper.Through the analysis of the text content in the three periods,the author basically clarified the evolution track of the legends.The whole legend originated from the Pre-qin text Shang shu · Hongfan,and formed four elements in the two systems through the evolution from the Han Dynasty to the Tang and Song Dynasties.According to the evolution of the four elements,two systems were formed,namely the legends of auspicious written signals got by Yu base on divinatory signals-centric system and Taoism-centric system.Third part of the paper is the last chapter,the author will analyze the reasons for these complex changes and try to explain the reasons for the changes of the abundant characteristics of the legends.This part is the key point of the whole paper and it extraordinary deepens innovation views of the paper.Based on the analysis of the causes of evolution,they can be sorted three aspects: the trend of times in the periods mentioned above,regional culture and the text writers.according to the first aspect,the author will discuss that the divination and Taoism influence have profound effect on this legends mentioned above;the second aspect will discuss Heluo Cultural Circle and Wuyue Cultural Circle’ influence on the legends;the third parts will focus on the influence on the legends caused by the text writing groups,chemist and Taoism scholars.Through the analysis of the ancient texts,the author believes that the legends of auspicious written signals got by Yu is independent and systematic,and it can be completely independent from other Yu’ legends and form its own system,which is the significance and value of this research.
