Exploring The Design Of Character Performance Through Animation Short Film "VR"

Animation is an art of studying sports.Here,you can draw without beautiful lines,but everything you do must serve the time,weight,details,pace,emotion,instantaneous tension and action of animation.And these determine the performance effect of animated characters in the story.The main research direction of this paper focuses on the role performance in animation production.Specific research and practice includes the following aspects:combining with the existing animation theory,the concept of role performance in animation is analyzed;the classification of role performance;the role of role performance,the application method of role performance and the design idea of role performance.Combining theory with practice,this paper explores the design method of animation character performance through specific case production,summarizes technical experience and shortcomings,and lays a foundation for further research.The significance of this paper is that,on the basis of understanding the significance and role of role performance in animated short films,different animated characters are designed to perform in different stories,so as to better shape the character’s personality,enrich the plot of the story,and make the whole animation more vivid and real in front of the audience.And let the audience feel the artistic charm of animation.
