A Report On The E-C & C-E Consecutive Interpreting Of "The Special Training Class For Core Teachers Of National Youth Campus Basketball In 2017(Gansu Station,China)"

International exchanges have become increasingly frequent than ever before,so do cross-international exchanges and cooperation in all walks of life,sports exchanges between China and the rest of the world are extremely frequent.This report takes the author’s practice of “the Special Training Class for Core Teachers of National Youth Campus Basketball in 2017(Gansu Station,China)” as an example,and explores in depth the problems and associated solutions encountered in the field of sports interpreting.The report describes the entire process of the interpreting assignment.During the preparation stage,the author analyzes key points and difficulties of the interpretation task,including sports related terminologies as well as basic basketball knowledge.In the case study,the report combines the theory of Gile’s effort model and analyzes the specific process of this report from the aspects of difficulties in strategy,comprehension strategy,interpreting strategy and methods etc.The comprehension difficulties include lack of background knowledge,dialect identification and short term memory.There are two comprehension strategies that the author adopts,namely body language and analysis of interpreter.At the expression level,the translation is accurate,fluent and easy to be understood with the help of domestication strategy.The interpreting methods adopted by the author are addition and combination.Finally,the report summarizes the meaning of this interpreting task,unresolved issues and so forth.Hopefully to provide relevant reference materials for future researchers.
