Idiomatic expressions are short and stereotyped,which is an important part of idiomatic expressions.However,due to its flexible variability,semantic double-layer and other characteristics,it has become a difficult point for foreign students to learn and teach Chinese as a foreign language.In the middle and advanced stage of Chinese learning,students have begun to come into contact with a certain amount of idiomatic expressions in the textbook,and the selection of idiomatic terms in the textbook,the explanation of explanations,the setting of exercises and other arrangements will have an impact on the teaching effect of idiomatic expressions.Therefore,this paper investigates the arrangement of idioms in advanced spoken Chinese(third edition)published by Peking University press,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of this textbook in the arrangement of idioms,and puts forward effective teaching methods in order to benefit the teaching of idioms.The thesis is mainly divided into six chapters:Chapter one is the introduction,which explains the significance of topic selection,research status and research methods at home and abroad.Chapter two discusses the noumenon of idiomatic expressions,which involves the definition,characteristics and classification of idiomatic expressions.In the first section,combined with the views of various academic circles and reference books and textbooks,this paper holds that the idiomatic expressions are stereotyped colloquial English with three syllables and multiple syllables.The second part mainly analyzes the characteristics of idiomatic expressions from the perspectives of grammar,semantics and pragmatics.The third section classifies idiomatic expressions from the perspective of semantics and grammar.The fourth section discusses and classifies the characteristics of idioms in the textbook.According to the characteristics of flexible variability of idiomatic expressions and semantic duality,this paper summarizes and sorts out idiomatic expressions in textbooks,and classifies them from semantic and grammatical perspectives.The third chapter mainly from three aspects of idiomatic language items,definitions and exercises,examines the idiomatic language arrangement of this textbook.According to the analysis of this paper,in the selection of idiomatic terms,the number of selected idiomatic terms is moderate,and the way of repetition is diversified.However,there are also cases of low recurrence rate and low degree of association with the outline.In terms of definition,there are some phenomena such as unclear boundaries of idiomatic categories.Finally,in terms of practice setting,there are some advantages such as difficulty hierarchy and pertinence,which can largely restore the context of idiomatic expressions and reasonably extend them,but there are also some problems such as unreasonable distribution order of difficulty and difficulty.To sum up,the textbook has both advantages and disadvantages in the arrangement of idioms.Chapter four firstly investigates the fifth-grade students who have the same level of Chinese as the middle and advanced students,and selects 68 idiomatic expressions that can be formally used in the textbook for investigation.Secondly,a questionnaire was designed to investigate 72 international students from southwest petroleum university,sichuan normal university and southwest university of finance and economics' idiomatic learning attitude,teaching method tendency and their idiomatic language acquisition.Chapter five mainly discusses the teaching methods of idioms.Firstly,it distinguishes the difference between "teaching method" and "teaching method".Secondly,on the basis of previous studies,it sorts out the existing teaching methods.At last,based on this,combining with the teaching material,the corresponding teaching methods are proposed from the stages of display,explanation and practice.Chapter six is based on the method of idiomatic expressions proposed in this paper.
