| It seems to be unrelated between dharma and protecting the State,while they are perfectly integrated in “the three sutras of protecting the State.In fact,if a state is peaceful,it is difficult to carry forward dharma.After all,dharma has to depend on individuals’ propagating.The first chapter of this paper is the introduction,which mainly introduces the causes of this paper’s topic choosing and relevant academic researches of “the three sutras of protecting the State.From the second chapter to the fourth,this paper studies The Golden Light Sutra 、 The Sutra for Humane Kings 、 Dharma Lotus Sutra respectively.This paper mainly sorts out the situation of these three sutras’ Chinese translation,and makes a simple analysis about their spread from the perspective of their Chinese translation’s annotations and historical preaching,etc.Later,on the basis of the analysis of the sutra structure,the contents of the "three sutras " are summarized.Finally,this paper focuses on the outstanding thoughts of " protecting the State " of the "three sutras",especially to analyze how they each obtain and express the effectiveness of " protecting the State ".The fifth chapter is conclusion,which is discussed from two dimensions of Sutra and state,state and mind.This part simply summarizes the connection between “dharma” and “protecting the State”,and the significance of practice.In general,The Golden Light Sutra claims that there is incredible “power” by people’s holding and reading it.Also,in this way,the individual state can sense Buddhas’ protection.The Sutra for Humane Kings emphasizes the supernatural power from “prajna”,whose deeper meaning is to guide individuals to practice.compared with the first two sutras,Dharma Lotus Sutra,as the Mahayana sutra,concentrates more on persuading all beings to become Buddha by their own incredible “power”and then obtain all the benefits,instead of directly advocating their own effectiveness of “protecting the State”.Above all,“protecting the state” is one of the benefits. |
