| The fundamental purpose of Chinese teaching is to allow Chinese learners to communicate fluently in Chinese.Chinese address,as the first words in a conversation,will affect the attitude of the listener to the speaker.It is an important part of the comm nication process.Studying the use of address used by foreign students can improve unde rstanding of the distinctives of their usage of address,points of weakness and influential factors,in order to help them grow in their ability to communicate successfully.The art icle is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,introducing the bac kground and significance of the subject,and summarizing the theoretical research status,application research status and research methods of the appellative language.The seco nd chapter is the description of the survey,which mainly introduces the condition of the subjects of two questionnaires for foreign students and Chinese college students,the de sign of the questionnaire,and the implementation of the survey.The third chapter includ es the statistics and analysis of the survey.It analyzes the use and characteristics of how foreign students address others in 16 situations.The results include that foreign students using address are more likely to choose a popular address or an easy one,that they like omitting an address,and that the influence of age on the choice of the address is not obv ious.At the same time,with Chinese university students as a reference,I analyze the exi sting problems in the use of address: firstly,the use of incorrect address,and secondly,t he use of address that are not suitable to the situation.These problems are mainly due to the lack of understanding of Chinese culture and address.The fourth chapter analyzes a nd expounds six factors that affect foreign students’ use of address: Chinese level,cultur e,time,gender,teaching,and the individual.The fifth chapter gives suggestions from t wo perspectives: teaching and learning.Teachers should explain systematically,use situ ational teaching methods,supplement teaching materials,and focus on teaching languag e commonly used in addressing others.Foreign students must learn avenues of effectiveselection and verify correct usage with native speakers.The sixth chapter is the conclus ion,summarizing the discovery of the article,and hopes to provide some help for the tea ching of address. |
