The culture of the Ten Kings originated from the awe of the ancient Chinese people to the ghosts and gods and the respect for the ancestors.It combines Taoism,Buddhism and local folk customs,and has undergone a long period of brewing to form a culture of faith.It is an important part of our country’s ancient culture and a regional cultural representative of Fengdu.The ten kings’ beliefs originated from the Tang Dynasty and gradually improved during the Song and Yuan Dynasties.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the influence of foreign countries continued to expand,and many famous literary works such as "Journey to the West" and "Into the Memories" emerged.The culture of the Ten Kings has gradually penetrated into the hearts of the people and has become a cultural phenomenon in the old Chinese society.It is rumored that during the Eastern Han Dynasty,two Taoist priests named Yin Changsheng and Wang Fangping became monks in Fengdu,and they were called "Yin Wang" by the world.This established the status of the Fengdu ghost culture.According to our traditional saying,Feng is the place where human souls gather.Every soul who comes to Fengdu will accept the judgment of the Ten Kings of the earth according to the good and evil of his life,and thus decide their respective reincarnation.This laid the foundation for the formation of the Fengdu Ten King culture.In the Tang Dynasty,from the Fengdu Mingshan Temple,the scene of the hell life depicted,including the image of the Ten Kings.It shows the torture scene under the Ten Kings Judgment,reflecting that the good and good musicians will be treated well in the afterlife,but those who are evil will be judged by the Ten Kings.The formation of the Ten Kings culture has a strong educational function for the world,and it has a positive effect on the comfort of the people’s mind and body and on the stability of the social order.Based on the organization of the human body,the Ten King system has formed a rich and diverse form of spread of the Ten Kings.It is reflected in a large number of art forms such as literature,paintings,statues and folklore.Although the Ten Kings culture has been in a state of continuous development before,it has graduallydisappeared due to the influence of modern social development.Therefore,in order to strengthen this important social and cultural function,the author carries out a new design innovation on the cultural image of Fengdu Shiwang,so that it inherits the local customs and culture while meeting the needs of travel enthusiasts.The formation of the Fengdu Ten King culture is very long.This article is described in four aspects.Firstly,it analyzes the source,background,significance,method and innovation of the topic.Secondly,it conducts a comprehensive study on the evolution process of the Ten Kings culture,and traces the reasons for the formation of the culture of the Ten Kings of Fengdu.Analyze different forms of artistic representation;re-establish the structural system of the Ten Kings in Fengdu Prefecture,divide the functions of the Ten Kings system,and extract the representative cultural symbols;finally,according to the research content,Fengdu Ten King The image is innovated in modern design,and a series of peripheral derivative designs are carried out for the created image of the Ten Kings.
