Learning motivation is the internal source power for learners,the driving force for self-learning of learners and the important factor to influence learning effect.Stimulating correct learning motivation of learners has been always the problem needing to be solved by educators.Currently,all sports colleges in the whole nation have established sports dance major and enlarged enrollment scale,a large batch of ordinary school students are enrolled into university through arts exam,which not only prompts sports colleges to update their teaching idea and perfect their teaching method but also prompts them to seek for specific measures for individualized teaching.According to investigation,many ordinary high school students have weak learning motivation and less learning interest,which causes non-ideal learning effect.Therefore,This study attempts to quote the ARCS motivation model,directs at the characteristics of standard dance,and puts forward the research point of view in this paper by concentrating on the motivation strategies of standard dance teaching,so as to achieve the purpose of forming students' good learning motivation.At the beginning of 1980 s,the American pathologist Keller(University of Florida)proposed ARCS motivation mode.This mode starts from four dimensions including Attention,Relevance,Confidence and Satisfaction to design a series of teaching strategies to cultivate the learning motivation of students.Fundamentally,it aims at stimulating learning interest,arousing learning attention,knowledge association or correlation,progressivity and extensibility of learning objective and learning task;besides,it targets at making students form confidence in learning thus to form a benign circulation of learning psychology.This mode has been widely applied in other subject fields such as English,maths,biology and information technology,and the researchers consistently reflect that it has good teaching effect.ARCS motivation mode is used less in sports field,and no research on its application in dance subject has been found.This paper bases on ARCS motivation incentive strategy,centers on waltz teaching as research object,take 40 persons of special class from 2018-session dance performance group2 and 8 of Wuhan Institute of Physical Education as experimental objects,adopts methods of literature review,expert interview,questionnaire and teaching experiment to conduct research,and the conclusions are as follows:(1)It is feasible to apply ARCS motivation incentive strategy involving four dimensions of attention,relevance,confidence and satisfaction into the standard dance classroom teaching process of sports colleges(2)It can be seen from self-comparison and group comparison of experiment group and comparison group that firstly,the experiment group adopting ARCS motivation incentive have clearer learning motivation,wherein,the four dimensions of attention,relevance,confidence and satisfaction all give play to their roles,the order is attention>confidence>satisfaction>relevance,which shows that it is needed to give priority to strengthen learning attention of students;secondly,In the control group of traditional teaching method,the learning motivation of students have not been significantly improved as a whole,but the single index of confidence have been improved.(3)Whether the learning motivation is right or not is directly related to the learning effect and sports performance.Both of the sport performance(technical evaluation scores)of the experimental group and the control group had been improved.But in the experimental group with ARCS motivation incentive strategy,the performance(technical evaluation scores)was significantly better than that in the control group.The reasons why the experimental group is better are the study atmosphere in the experimental group is better than that in the control group,and compared with the control group,time and number of times of autonomous exercises in class were significantly more than those in the control group.
