| With China’s all-dimensional opening-up and significant improvement of overall national strength and international status,scientific exchange and cooperation are increasingly growing,and the number of English version of scientific articles in scientific journals is increasing.English version of scientific Chinese texts attracts more attention in international journals,which shows our academic influence and scientific research level on the international stage.Because of wide use of computer technology and the development of globalization,exchange and communication among people who are skilled and interested in computers are on the increase.Meanwhile,more people in China hope to share their research in the world,thus it is necessary to translate related information into English.This translation practice report is based on the translation project of the first four chapters of Optimization and Implementation ofAC Simulation Platform,a Master degree thesis of Southeast University in 2016,aiming to improve the quality of Chinese-English translation by discussing translation techniques of scientific text from specialized vocabulary and translation principles.The report falls into five parts:the introduction,main content of the translation practice,translation process,principles and techniques and the summary.The report mainly introduces the application of Chinese-English translation techniques in scientific texts based on four principles——accuracy,clarity,conciseness and objectivity,such as semantic discrimination and lexical collocation of sci-tech terms,addition,reduction,combination,division,nominalization and other techniques.Besides,the report also lists the terms of computer technology and translates the pictures and tables in the thesis with drawing software,hoping to provide reference for English translation of information text of computer industry. |
