The Process Of Sinicization Of “Metafiction”

“Metafiction” is a narrative text based on exposing fiction as a basic writing strategy.On the basis of the theory and practice of the western metafiction,the Chinese writers have made local reference and integration of this literary form.The rises of the post-modernism cultural trend of thought and the overall social change in the transition period of the 1980 s have brought great impact to the literary field.Starting from the vanguard literature,writers are committed to breaking the original narrative conventions and seeking a new narrative method.Meta-narrative has been widely used in vanguard literature because of its unique experimental,innovative and uncertain nature.Since then,it has experienced new realism and New Historicism,has formed the different development pattern.In this process,the Chinese metafiction takes the "author appearing" as the basic means,and through the description and parody of the traditional culture and the text,the deconstruction of the typical and authoritative discourse of the realism is realized,and the Chinese metafiction has the characteristics of localization.Metafiction deconstructs through exposing fiction,but deconstruction is not the ultimate goal.It is a reflection and reconstruction of the form and content of traditional novels.It is a deep construction of people's meaning to the real world and the text.The exordium of this paper mainly introduces the research status of metafiction theory native and foreign,the basis of this thesis and the research thinking.The body has the following,the first chapter analyzes the concept of metafiction in detail combined with the post-modernism background of the rise of metafiction.The second chapter analyzes the development history and creation style of Chinese metafiction in the three periods of vanguard,neo-realism and new historicism,mainly combining the classical metafiction texts.The third chapter compares the creative methods and characteristics of Chinese and foreign metafiction from the horizontal side in order to highlight the localization characteristics of Chinese metafiction.The fourth chapter points out the development trend of metafiction in the future and its development dilemma.The conclusion mainly summarizes the process of Sinicization of metafiction and expounds the historical and practical significance of the study of Chinese metafiction creation.Metafiction is the embodiment of literary consciousness.The extreme form of Metafiction creation will go down,or eventually merge into other realistic creation,but it has brought new possibilities to the creation of novels,questioned the authenticity of the text,and caused people to strongly reflect on the reality of the text,has the important significance.
