| Granados is one of the representatives of Spanish national music.On the basis of merging with national characteristics,his music was also influenced by romanticism.EI Pelele was created at the late stage of Granados’ life and was also one of his best pieces of work.Researching this composition is helpful to understand Spanish-style music.Through collaborating the literature and papers related to Granados and EI Pelele with author’s playing experience,this thesis analyzed both EI Pelele’s characters and ways to reach a better understanding of piano-playing.Compared with other researches,this thesis studied the Spanish characteristics reflected by the rhythm and melody in this composition.Also,the author concluded some technical difficulties and provided suggestions for performers to deal with the emotional changes hiding in this music.The results of this study will be beneficial for those who want to correctly perform EI Pelele and get a further understanding of Spanish music’s features. |
