A Study On Bulletin Of The National Library Of Peiping

In the early period of the Republic of China,with the development of western library culture and the modernization of Chinese society,modern library and library sciences began to rise,and library journals came into being.Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping is one of the publications of the National Library of Peiping.It was founded in May 1928 and stopped publishing in February 1937.It has 59 issues,two of which are joint publications.Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping has been renamed three times.Volume 1,Number 5 was changed from Bulletin of the Metropolitan Library to Bulletin of the Metropolitan Library.Volume 3,Number 1was renamed as Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping.Volume 4,Number 1 was renamed as Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping.For the convenience of writing,some parts of the thesis will be uniformly referred to as the abbreviation of Bulletin of the Library.As a national library,the National Library of Peiping shoulders the historical mission of carrying forward the Chinese culture,and on the other hand bears the responsibility of communicating Chinese and foreign cultures.Compared with other library journals in the same period,Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping has strong academic significance and has become an important academic exchange platform at that time,and has made great contributions to the development of China’s modern library industry.This article takes Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping as the research object,and the research time range from its inception to the suspension of publication(1928-1937).Through the analysis and research on the general situation,author and advertisement of Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping,explain the academic value and social significance of the Bulletin of the National Library of Peiping and its historical role in the academic information exchange of libraries.Bulletin of theNational Library of Peiping is a famous journal of library science in modern China,which published academic papers of many famous scholars at that time.It played an important role in inheriting Chinese traditional culture,promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries,and promoting the library industry during the Republic of China period.
