| With the enhancement of China’s comprehensive national strength and the improvement of its international status,more and more foreign learners have come to China to learn Chinese and experience real Chinese life.In the Chinese"listening,speaking,reading and writing" four steps of the main learning process,reading is a vital part of the student’s learning career.In the teaching and research of second language reading,The Schema Theory is used to explore the process of reading comprehension,teaching methods and teaching materials,and rarely apply to the study of Chinese reading anxiety.The purpose of this study is to investigate the anxiety situation and causes of international students in Chinese reading in China,and to analyze it by the theory.This study is based on the quantitative study of questionnaire survey method,through the interview method and classroom observation method to supplement the data.Mainly studies the following aspects of the problem:First,is there Chinese reading anxiety among international students in China?What is the overall reading anxiety situation?Second,what is the correlation between Chinese reading anxiety of international students and the reasons from the perspective of schema theory?How much does different types of reading schemas affect Chinese reading anxiety?Third,according to the influence degree of different types of schema on Chinese reading anxiety,this paper puts forward some suggestions to reduce reading anxiety.After detailed statistics,analysis and induction,this study found that international students do have a situation of Chinese reading anxiety,and their reading anxiety is at a moderate level.There is also a correlation between the Chinese reading anxiety of international students and the reasons from the perspective of schema theory,but the correlation is different:content schema,language schema,formal schema,strategy schema(from high to low)and Chinese reading anxiety value are related to a higher degree.There was no significant correlation between cultural schema and reading anxiety value in statistical sense.For the distribution of numbers,the mean value of formal schema,language schema and strategy schema is higher than mean,and the content schema and cultural schema are the second.Based on the practice of Chinese teaching in China,this paper investigates the situation and causes of Chinese reading anxiety of international students at the central level by obtaining information in many aspects,then puts forward some teaching suggestions which has certain reference significance for relieving students’ anxiety and improving students ’ Chinese reading level. |
