Liaison interpreting is predominant in promoting cross-cultural business and multicultural communication within a company.Moreover,the distinct characteristics of liaison interpreting(i.e.,the dynamics of interpreting activity,the mediation of roles and identities,and the contextual influences of interpreting)provide rich resources to explore the complexity of interpreting as a communicative activity coordinated between multiple parties and to develop effective models to facilitate interpreter-mediated interactions.Additionally,liaison interpreting has extensive applications to people’s life,which is easier for beginners to engage in.Under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory,the report is designed to figure out how to process liaison interpreting in different interpretation scenarios.According to the combination of the interpretation practice and the Interpretive Theory of Translation,the aim is to analyze the obstacles and bottlenecks,summarize interpretation methods and propose constructive strategies,including the principles of note-taking,information supplement and efficiency in the process.The author experienced different communication situations such as training courses,technical discussion,daily affairs,and conference interpretation in the practice,so the study of liaison interpreting is significant for beginners and those who are interested in interpreting,which provides fundamental research resource in their future study.
