In the late colonial period,Britain changed its economic policcies toward India and completely destroyed India's traditional economy. Many changes took place in British Indian society, and people were forced to go out of their homes, including of women who rarely stepped out of the family. In order to maintain their own rule, the colonial government enacted laws and regulations to oppress the social habits of women. At the same time, representatives of the middle class called on the society to pay attention to women, and the women's liberation movement and women's education followed. In this era, women who have left home have entered the work of emerging industries, and tea garden women workers, factory women workers, female doctors and midwives have become professional representatives of emerging women.More women's employment has had a wide-ranging social impact. On the one hand, women entering the factory have broken contact with their hometowns, and proletarianization has accelerated. On the other hand, after women's economic independence, their status has been improved both in the family and in society, and they have assumed more social responsibilities.More and more women are fighting for their rights and the women's movement is developing. However,in general, women employed during this period still face various discrimination problems.Their work is subject to many unfair treatments, and the technical content of their work is generally low. They have made their own contributions to the modernization of India, but they have received very little.
