A Preliminary Study On The Glitch Art

As an important part of human consciousness activities,art is also an important activity in human life practice.Marx and Engels mentioned in their theory of literature and art that it is "production of consciousness" and "spiritual production in language".Art has undergone many changes in history,constantly breaking through people’s understanding of aesthetics,and constantly contacting and integrating with other fields.In my opinion,the Glitch Art,which has undergone many ideological trends and changes,has become a very large and complex system,and the art of failure is a part of this system.Glitch Art was born in the 1970 s.It belongs to post-digital art.The visual effect comes from the abnormal visual effect caused by electronic or digital faults in daily life,such as snow effect on some display screens or tearing effect on the screen.Glitch artists create fault art by destroying the physical or data level of digital devices and documents.There are many ways to present it.The most common way is to print the output into a paper book,or to use a display screen to make a comprehensive device,and to use a website to display it.Because the visual effect of fault art and the content it wants to express behind it are very unique,so I think it is very meaningful to study it.The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the general characteristics of Glitch Art and to study its main essence-the artistic,aesthetic and philosophical significance of randomness.I hope it will be helpful to the future research of artistic creation and art theory.
