In the past ten years,Internet technology has advanced by leaps and bounds,bringing great convenience to people's daily life,work and study.As a junior high school student who grew up in the Internet age,it is a veritable "digital indigenous".Access to information,leisure,entertainment and communication on the Internet has become the norm in their lives.However,because the Internet is characterized by virtuality,anonymity and beyond the limitations of time and space,and junior high school students are in the early stages of puberty and their minds are not yet mature,and it is easy to make some deviant behaviors on the Internet,such as cyberbullying behavior.On the other hand,as adolescents,junior high school students are gradually getting rid of their parents' influence and rely more on intimate peer relationships.Good peer relationships can affect adolescents' cognition,emotions and behaviors.Therefore,this study intends to investigate the influence mechanism of peer attachment level on cyberbullying behavior of junior high school students,and from the cognitive and emotional perspectives to test the mediating role of self-esteem and social anxiety in peer attachment and cyberbullying behavior of junior high school students.In this study,633 students in grade 7 and grade 8 of a middle school were investigated using peer attachment questionnaire,self-esteem questionnaire,social anxiety questionnaire and cyberbullying questionnaire.The influence mechanism of junior high school peer attachment on cyberbullying behavior was discussed from peer factors and individual factors.Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS 17.0.The main findings are as follows:(1)In the junior high school students group,the incidence of cyberbullying behavior was 62.09%.More than half of the students had cyberbullying behavior.(2)The gender difference of specific dimensions of peer attachment(trust)and global peer attachment in junior high school students are significant,and girls' peer trust and global peer attachment are significantly higher than that of boys.There are asignificant grade differences in specific dimensions of peer attachment(alienation),peer alienation in the 8 grade significantly higher than in the 7 grade.(3)Junior high school students' global peer attachment is significantly negatively correlated with cyberbullying.Global peer attachment level significantly negatively predicts cyberbullying behavior.The lower the global peer attachment level,the more cyberbullying behavior.(4)Junior high school students' global peer attachment was significantly positively correlated with self-esteem,and was significantly negatively correlated with social anxiety;self-esteem was significantly negatively correlated with social anxiety and the same with cyberbullying;social anxiety was significantly positively correlated with cyberbullying.(5)The self-esteem of junior high school students mediated the relationship between global peer attachment and cyberbullying behavior;the social anxiety of junior high school students mediated the relationship between global peer attachment and cyberbullying behavior;junior high school students' self-esteem and social anxiety played sequential mediating roles between global peer attachment and cyberbullying behavior.
