As two neighboring countries both belonging to the Oriental cultural circle,China and Japan have been closely linked in their cultural traditions.In terms of painting,Japanese painting has long been influenced by Chinese painting.The Meiji restoration put an end to Japan’s isolation.With the influx of various western cultural forms,Japanese painting started the road of "leaving Asia and entering Europe".After world war ii,with the change of artistic concept and the innovation of painting materials,heavy color painting gained more rapid development in Japan.For Chinese painting,although it was influenced by western art decades later than that of Japan,it also encountered the similar fate of Japanese painting since the end of the 19 th century and the beginning of the 20 th century.The revival of heavy color painting became a landscape in the revolution of Chinese painting in the 20 th century.This paper takes the modern heavy colored paintings of China and Japan as the research object,analyzes and compares the similarities and differences of the two through the analysis of their respective development trajectories,language forms and aesthetic consciousness,and extensively and deeply explores the causes behind them and the profound humanistic connotation.First,ChongCaiHua and defining the sino-japanese modern ChongCaiHua category,and carding ChongCaiHua development history of sino-japanese relations and comparative analysis,further study of modern heavy variety art the development track of the two countries,the similarities and differences between and by "core-edge" theory as the starting point to analyze the cause behind the similarities and differences between the humanities;Secondly,the performance of the works in combination with the comparative analysis between China and Japan modern ChongCaiHua language,materials technology innovation brings modern ChongCaiHua in composition between the two countries language,modelling and color change of the concept,so the second part mainly around the painting technique material,composition,shape and color ideas from several aspects comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between the two;Third,from the perspective of human culture,the similarities and differences between the aesthetic consciousness of modern heavy color paintings in China and Japan are compared and analyzed,and the internal causes of the aesthetic ideas with their own characteristics are deeply explored.Finally,the development of contemporary heavy color paintings in China is considered.Contemporary heavy color painters should absorb and digest foreign cultures on the basis of Chinese traditional culture,and make some choices when using western art to express language,so that the modern heavy color works created by them can meet the aesthetic psychology of Chinese people.What is worth studying is not only the form of Chinese and Japanese modern heavy colored paintings,but the creative spirit and unique national style reflected in their development process,including painting techniques.In addition,through the comparative study of modern heavy colored paintings in China and Japan,the author rerecognizes and excavates the profound traditional resources of China,and tries to seek the correct development direction of contemporary heavy colored paintings in China based on the culture of the nation and the aesthetic feelings of the nation.
