From Difference To Convergence

The continental phenomenology and British-American analytical philosophy more and more showed a trend and tendency in contemporary development,more and more philosophers is committed to the communication and understanding between two traditions of western philosophy,trying to find some mutual roots,analytic philosophers begin to pay attention to important people of phenomenology,phenomenologist also in virtue of the development of analytical philosophy in the research results,The author expounds the origin,characteristics of two kinds of philosophy and its realistic predicament from the angle of history and reality,from this highlights the necessity and the possibility of the communication and dialogue,and in the process of its research methods and strategies used by an in-depth analysis and interpretation,in order to provides a content tease of western philosophy for the integrative development of phenomenology and analytical philosophy.Phenomenology and Analytical philosophy have no possibility of dialogue because of their different research problems.However,when we go deep into the internal investigation of the two philosophical views,we can see that the generality between them is to explore the “ factual world ”.Specifically,Analytical philosophy focuses on the acquisition of discourse that describes the“factual world”effectively.Phenomenology tries to explore the “the original intuition” of a rational interpretation of the“ factual world ”.It is of great benefit to bridge the chasm and end the confrontation to discuss the fusion relationship between them based on the perspective of the“factual world”.The analysis of the dimension of the“factual world”deepen the existing research results,construct and restore the development logic of the history of philosophy.The confirmation of the common source of the two philosophical thoughts indicates that they are the contemporary embodiment of the tradition of pursuing “the origin” since ancient Greek philosophy,it also highlights the ultimate purpose and pursuit of returning to the life world of philosophy.It provides an operable way of thinking for the understanding of the core issues of contemporary world philosophy and the comparative study of different kinds of philosophy.
