With the continuous progress and development of the society,print advertising has long been not only the design of the basic content of art painting,but also gradually incorporates various cultural connotations,including gender,region,ethnicity,national elements and so on.The cultural connotation has contributed to a rich and colorful industrial structure.It is undeniable that print advertising is subtly changing our lifestyle and spending habits.As a special symbol with cultural attributes,female visual symbols have been applied more and more frequently to print advertising works,which has become a universally accepted creative expression element,which has a negligible effect on the development of graphic advertising design.This paper takes female visual symbols as the basis of research.Firstly,it starts from the aspects of cultural thoughts,economic system and social factors,and carries on the horizontal cross-analysis of the causes of female visual symbols in print advertising.Secondly,it sorts out the relationship between female visual symbols and print ads.Analyze the feasibility of female visual symbols in print advertising,and make a relatively comprehensive analysis of the use and value of female visual symbols in print advertising;then combine the author’s design practice cases to apply female visual symbols in print advertising.The application forms and application methods are summarized.Finally,the future development of female visual symbols is proposed.
