With the deeper globalization, research and translation of feminist stylistics are getting more and more attention. In the tradition of both western culture and eastern culture, female has been living under paternity, which decides their lower social status than males. In this case, males own much more rights than women.Language itself does not bear discrimination. It can be a tool to form sexism, instead.Since 1960s,with feminism developing unceasingly, the relationship between language and sex has become a frequent headline.Stylistics stepped into a;"Silver Age"in 1960s and became a subject that apply contemporary linguistic methods and theories to study literary works. From then on,more and more stylists began to regard language as a material entity. The main function of stylistics is to reveal and criticize the power relation and ideology, under which the feminist stylistics came into being.Feminist stylistics introduces the concept of social sex to the study of stylistics, leading to the diversity and variety of text analysis. In this case, readers would rearrange their thought in reading texts from the perspective of sex.The translation reporter selected Chapter One "Feminist Models of Text" and Chapter Two "The Gendered Sentence”of the book—Feminist Stylistics as the text for her translation practice.Chapter One of Feminist Stylistics introduces the term of"feminist stylistic" and discusses the different models of text which are available to feminist text analysis. One of the debates within feminist literary analysis is to relate to whether women writers produce texts which are significantly different in terms of language from those of males.Chapter two of Feminist Stylistics, the writer of Feminist Stylistics aims to examine this question of whether there is a gendered sentence.Intending to reproduce the theory and critique within the original text in the most readable and idiomatic expressions, the translator conducted this translation practice under the guide of the principles of "skopos","coherence" and "fidelity" of the Skopos theory. There are four chapters in the translation practice report. The first chapter gives an overview of this translation practice report, including the introduction and the significance of the translation practice and so on.The second chapter mainly introduces the translator's preparation before her doing the translation.such as the analysis of the content and the style of the source text, the parallel texts reading and the orientation of Skopos theory.Chapter three is the core section of the translation practice report. In this chapter, the translator critically classifies the difficulties and problems she encountered during the process of the translation, and illustrates the solutions to them, which is discussed from three perspectives:(1)correct comprehension of Feminist Notion;(2)accurate conveyance of the terms of feminism, stylistics and that of the academic features;(3)problems of language. The last chapter is the summary and reflection of the translation practice.
